Sorry for the stupid question, but can someone here comfirm that I can pull out the two 667mhz 1gb sodimm modules from my laptop and swap them for a single 800mhz 2gb module?

Reason I'm doing this is need to swap with another laptop which is unable support the 2gb memory stick.

Would I be able to set it so the CPU FSB and RAM Speeds both run sync at 800mhz?

    Thanks for any help

You'll be able to use 800mhz RAM, but it'll be used at 667mhz.
