Vostro 1400 keyboard functionality issues.

    I've been having some issues with my keyboard that I have not been able to find an explanation for.

    My down key used to work, but never does anymore. Sometimes the enter, backspace, shift, and cntrl keys also randomly stop working, but only for short periods of time before they start working again. The functionality of the keys is completely sporadic, and entirely unpredictable. I have tried replacing the keyboard, but the problem persists even with the new one. Also, I tried using the on-screen keyboard, but the non-functioning keys wouldn't even work there, which leads me to believe its a system problem, not a keyboard problem.
