Vostro 1500 LCD screen replacement. New screen acting weird

Hi all, new person here. I did a search on LCD screens but can't find my problem anywhere.

Here's the background and problem:

Vostro 1500 with Chungwha 1280x800 screen that got cracked by my kids. I ordered a replacement screen from a company off Amazon.com that was highly rated. Got the screen and installed it. It is make by Chi Mei. When I powered up the computer I got 8 screens of start up and it was very dim. Once it went past the Windows start up screen everything went black. It would only continue to Windows screen, still showing 8 windows in safe mode. I hooked up the old screen and everything worked fine.

I contacted the company and they air expressed me another screen, which I received yesterday. Hooked it up and got the exact same problem, which leads me to believe it's the Dell that doesn't like it. I will try and attach some photos because I am at a loss.

Did you swap JUST the screen or the screen and inverterboard?

Try using the new screen with the OLD inverter board.

 

I did the following:

new screen, new inverter = problem
new screen, old inverter = problem

old screen, new inverter = just fine
old screen, old inverter = just fine

It follows the screen.

 

Company is now stating screen sent is not compatible with Vostro 1500 and is giving me a full refund. Just need to find a place that sells one that will work with my computer.

 

Try ebay or Dell. In the past Dell carried parts for any computers they sold for 3 years after release.
