Vostro 1510 battery message: What should I do?

    What should I do? I looked up in Dell the battery for the Vostro 1510 but there is nothing. Ive owned this laptop for a bit over a year.

    well batteries wear off with time it is not very alarming though
    does ur battery charge up to it full potential is that is so then it is okay right now but if does not have full charging or discharges rapidly u will have to change it

    Yep.....I believe it still charges to full.....Not sure though.

    The problem is I cant find the battery on Dell.

    Your Vostro 1510 was released about more than a year ago...
    Hence i guess you have surpassed the 300 charge and discharge counter and your battery is decreasing in charge capacity. It is suggestible that you should either get a replacement(which i don't think is available for this model anymore unless the battery is compatible with the replacement model Vostro 1520), or bear with it.... using this as your desktop replacement.

    Or else, try to look out for any service tech who can do refurbishment of your battery cell.

    My Inspiron 1501 battery, original 6 cell, now can only provide me with less than 40mins run time. That's why i had left it at home much more frequent that carrying it with me around.

    The 1501 battery was very common and can be had for a reasonable price on-line.
