    How many hard drives does a vostro 1720 have?

    I thought it was 2, but i saw a pic that made me doubt it, just want to make sure.

    what on earth is in that thing, i mean if they've cut out hdmi and the second hdd, what took its place?

    This is a very baffling design

    Am i missing something, are there advantages to buying a Vostro 1720 over say the studio or inspiron?

    Does the vostro 1720 have a slot loading dvd drive?

    If its a slot loader i could easily strip and mod it, but if its a tray loader then finding the right parts will be tricky

    The optical drive in the 1720 is a tray loader... but why do you want to mod it? There is indeed to official Dell adapter for installing an HDD in the ODD bay, but the one linked above should work fine.
