vostro 3400 fan

    hi just started using a brand new vostro 3400
    -> win 7 32 bit
    -> 3gb ram
    -> core i3 2.26 ghz
    -> 250gb 7200 rpm hard disk

    the fan wont stop running and it is constantly on. is anyone else experiencing this? any fixes for this problem?

    the fan is just running for ever, even when no software is running

    I think it may just be how the computer runs. My fan runs pretty constantly. It does cool well.

    Check in Task manager which processes are eating your CPU. Also check if your system power manager is working--Dell has a driver for on their website. I am afraid if you can't find the problem--call Dell and work with their support dept.
