    I'm considering buying one, but the issue of the thin cover has me unsure. My question, did Dell come out with an aluminum cover on later 3400's?

    Sorry, I'm not sure about that but just keep in mind that they can be a pain to upgrade vs the rest of the Vostro lineup.
