webcam not showing in dell 1400

    hello all, iam having a dell vostro 1400. when i purchased it was not having any operating system pre installed, i installed windows vista home premium, now when i click on the webcam icon its properties is poping up, but not the webcam. why is so? due to this iam unable to take any pictures. webcam icon is not showing in my comuter also? pls somebody give me a solution.

    you need to install dell's webcam software
    and it's not gonna appear on my computer, its on my devices
