    Hello!

There are a few ways to go about it....

Check for applicable *coupon codes* that you can apply on your purchase.

You can find them here on the forum. LINKY

Or, other sources such as slickdeals.net, techbargains.com, xpbargains.com, cheapstingybargains.com, and signing up directly at dell.com.

You may even want to consider purchasing from Dell's Outlet! You can save $$ there on purchase..And, you can sign up directly there, to have e-mails sent to you with Discounts off purchases!

Also, Les...a longtime forum member has made a nice *how-to* on making the best *computer deal*. Here is the LINKY

The best thing to do is to *configure* your specs online, *save it to your cart* call a Rep...and ask them *what is the best deal they can give to you* beyond what you have, in your cart, to secure the sale by the end of the conversation*, as you are ready to purchase NOW*!!! :)

Be prepared...to have to potentially, call back and *deal* with another Rep! :) If a Rep wants a Sale, they will work with you, w/in their means!

    Good Luck! :)

    Cin...

I negotiated over the phone (I just asked for a better price and stopped there). I got fantastic deal (over 30%) with free upgrades for the system.

    I recommend watching slickdeals.net

That's how I got 50% off my new E6500 and accessories.

I haggled with the guy on the phone for 1.5 hours. Got 19% off. Was happy enough with that. Not 50% though :)

Haha yeah, that's the only time I've seen something like that. It only lasted for about 6 hours :(.
