I have no idea about the graphics card, but I can tell you I would not pay 1000 pounds for this Latitude. I'd say that's a bit overpriced. However, it IS worth the outlet price you listed easy, hands down.

Would you mind providing me with the Windows Experience scores?

    Thanks

    I'm extremely frustrated..

The Latitude arrived today from the outlet, which was supposed to be 'Manufacturer refurbished', yet it hasn't been put together right, ie. the corner of the laptop isn't flush against the metal

I've spoken with Dell and I've been told them to send in photos and then they'll get straight back. 3 Hours later and still not heard back from them and the offices are now closed.

Don't know how helpful I will be but I have seen in either the "3350 owners cafe" or the "e6420 thread" that this is a problem with the dell. I am busy just now but I remember the people in the forum saying they just pushed it together and it snapped back in. Have a look through those two threads!

I just ordered a e6320 outlet scratch and dent today. Hope mines is ok.

I've tried pushing it in, but as it's magnesium it's unfortunately not budging. I would have opened the chassis, but the screws seems quite stiff and I don't want to risk ruining it

I've called to chase them on this issue and they said they're waiting to hear from the manufacturing department in order to approve a replacement.

Would this replacement be another refurb or a newly built one?

typically it is usually a refurb for sure

on some rare occasions they will overnight or second day a new unit
but you have to jump up and down on the phone and with the right support
reps. also depends on the issue

I had a dell lat from the outlet a few years ago that was having issues
due to a big bad batch of nvidia gfx cards that dell and nvidia admitted to,
because of that and i was transferred from regular support to tech support
I had a brand new unit in 2 days, albeit without on board gfx lol

so it depends, that was also in the USA
there IS a difference in service between countries

I just an email from the rep I was dealing with and they've offered a lower spec outlet latitude as a replacement. They wanted me to accept a 720p screen and no graphics card.

I declined immediately. Surely they wouldn't think I'm stupid enough to accept such a terrible replacement system

    Update

    Dell have been trully abyssal.

They first tried to get me to accept an E6520 with a 6 cell battery, Integrated graphics and 720p screen, when my original system had the 9 cell, nvidia and full hd display.

I rejected that and contacted Head office to show my dissatisfaction of this offer. Since then they have made no further offers and today I receive an email asking me if I wanted to be refunded due to them not finding a replacement.

I'm extremely angry and I feel that I've got no one else to complain to as the Michael Dell rep just said that I can choose myself a better system on the dell outlet and have them reserve, but because I've already got the E6520 with those high specs, I won't find anything higher.

Has anyone got a contact email of someone high up in Head office that I can speak with?

New sales and Outlet are completely different. New sales are more concerned since it's *supposed* to be pristine and perfect when you get it. Outlet is more of the liquidator in that they're concerned with moving out refurb/open box goods.

It's not surprising they offered you another refurb (don't expect new, you won't get one esp. if you paid for used), though it's a bit odd that they're offering a lesser unit. They usually have to offer you one of equivalent or slightly greater value from what I've heard.

I think someone in the E6420 lounge had a corner like that on an earlier unit.
