Im trying to record some audio using my new Vostro 1510 but I can't seem to select the internal microphone and it allows me use the 3.5mm plug with a external microphone.

I think the microphone is left to the webcam

But there is no selection in the Sound settings.
Tried in Skype, WLM, etc. It worked fine in Vista basic. I upgraded to ultimate and it doesnt work. Also doesnt work in Windows 7 Ultimate. What do I do? What drivers make this work? How can I fix it?

Tried this (thank you) and while running setup:

"No driver was supported in this package"

Tried afterwards, even though it did not work, the second tip:

    Nothing shows up. Now what?

Try Windows Update, see if there is an update for it in Optional Updates. That package should've worked though...it's for the Vostro 1510...

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit? The driver is 32-bit.

Try installing the driver manually. Unpack the EXE using WinRAR, and update the driver using the Device Manager in Computer Managment.

I think I accidently made another thread. Sorry.

Tried the manual mode. Still no internal microphone. Very strange.
