I got windows 7 ultimate 64 bit installed on my dell D620 laptop and try to upgrade the graphics driver. The current graphics card on my laptop is Quadro NVS 110m from Nvidia, I try to search the driver from Nvidia's website, but it seemed that the driver they released on Feb. 2009 is only for vista 64bit, try to install it, it reported that the version is not compatible, etc. Try to search from dell's supporting page, and only found the one released in year 2007.

Anybody has better ideas where to find the correct driver?

    Thanks!

Windows update offered me an NVIDIA driver shortly after installing Win 7 on my D620 last October. It also offered me an update sometime this year (in the spring iirc).

What version of your Windows 7? Also, is it 32bit or 64bit?

    Thanks!

64-bit. I say the version doesn't make a difference but it was HP.

Did you try running Win Update manually? Also, you can try adding Microsoft Update to Win Update even though I'm skeptical it will matter.

My dad has a D820 (quadro nvs 120m, but nvidia site says the same as for you), and windows update also found the driver and installed it as soon as I had my network set up. I use Win7 Pro 64 bit.

Windows 7 has nothing different from Vista in the GPU department. Windows update doesn't provide the latest drivers.

The solution is as follows (easy):
    - Download form Nvidia the latest drivers.
    - Right-click on the setup file, and select Properties.
    - On there, go to the compatibility tab, and select "Windows Vista" (if that is the problem).
    - Click on OK, and try the setup again. It should work just fine.
