    Hi there, I a newbie on this forum. I have a Dell Precsion M4600 on order. I am considering a Docking Station

    DELL UK/Ireland - Port Replicator - Advanced E-Port with 240W AC Adaptor - Power Cord - without stand - Kit : Laptop Accessories | Dell UK

    The Port Replicator - Advanced E-Port with 240W AC Adaptor - Power Cord - without stand - Kit

    Is what I am considering. I have a smillar dockk at work with my work latitude laptop.

    Am I correct in saying that they dont pass thorough USB3 ?

    Is theer any thing else I should consider, maybe this isnt the correct dock ?
    I noted some metions of the PSU rating

    Also I wondered is there a newer dock appearing soon with better features ?

    you don't need 240W for M4600, you need only 210W. However it will work and more future prove if you want to upgrade to 17" later.

    USB3 not supported.

    No idea about new dock.
