Just got a new Latitude (my fourth this year), and when I toggle the switch on the side to turn it on/off, it doesnt turn off. The "WIFI" indicator light in the upper right side is also not turning off.

    Any ideas?

    Switch mechanism must be broken.

Try disabling your Wifi through the Device Manager

    Unbelievable.
I simply cannot get a Latitude to work 100% properly.

You can control which wireless devices are controlled via the Wireless Switch in the BIOS. Make sure the "Wireless WLAN" option is checked.
