I'm looking at the dell vostro line and my main intention is to play Age of Empires III. I would like to be able to play the game at medium to high performance settings.

does anyone know if this is possible and if it is which version/model vostro should I get

    thanks in advance!

I have a t2500 Core Duo and a Geforce 7400 Go which runs AOE3 just fine with 8 players at 1200x800 resolution, although the settings are not on max. Tested on both XP and Windows 7.

My 12 inch Vostro 1220 will play Sins of a Solar empire at medium settings....this with an Intel x4500HD ! I would say for EIII with any dedicated card, you should be OK...
