Windows 2008 R Enterprise edition and LAN intel 82579V built-in driver

    Hi Experts

    I know this forum is for notebook and since my issue same in the link above therefore I posted here.

    I have got brand new ASUS mother board P9 X79 Pro that has a built-in LAN Intel 82579V

    I installed windows 2008 R Enterprise Edition , then I tried to install the driver for the LAN from the motherboard CD but without any success

    Then I downloaded the driver for the built-in LAN Intel 82579V form the link below :

    I tried to follow the follow step 4 to 15 as advised in post #7 as in the link above, but no joy, I couldn't extract (only I can run ) the driver that

    Right now in the device manager I have got two devices that have two yellow exclamation marks :

    Ethernet Controller
    Unknown devices

    Any advice how to come over this issue ?
