Windows 7 on Vostro 1014?

Hello,

I got my vostro 1014 today, and I want to install Win7 ,but i dont know if there will be any problem with the drivers.
what do you think?

i would have thought you'll be fine m8, windows 7 is full to the brim with drivers and you can use vista drivers if there aren't any specific win 7 ones

 

Also, Dell have posted some Windows 7 drivers for current notebooks.

Check the Dell download site.

Toskana, I am planning to buy Vostro 1014 too. I´d like to know how long you are able to use your notebook on a fully charged battery? (you have Primary 6-cell 48W/HR LI-ION, am I right?)

hey, yes i have the Primary 6-cell 48W/HR LI-ION. its about 3 hours with wifi and medium use.
its a good laptop, the only problem that disturb me, is the fan is a bit noisy some of the time.

 

I have a problem with the screen resolution on win7, its flips to 800X600 and after few seconds its return 1366X768.
I tried to remove the driver and install the drivers that windows update suggest, it didnt help, I also tried the drivers on dell website. but its dosnt solve the flips.

what can i do its hapanning every few minutes?
