    Hi,

    would you think I would gain much performance replacing the standard 1,8" drive by an intel g2 1,8" ?

    If so, would it be compatible and would I void my warranty?

    A lot, yes, and no, though you should hang on to your old drive in case some warranty complication requires your system to be restored to the default configuration.
