I've got a Dell Latitude D420 with a dying hard drive. It appears to be the original drive. These things use some kind of ZIF connector but it's unclear to me if all ZIF connectors are the same.

I've purchased a Samsung HS040HB replacement drive (new) assuming that it's going to work in this machine. Now I'd like to have an enclosure or an adapter that will allow me to image the original hard drive and put the image on the new hard drive. Yeah, I'm aware that the image might not work since the original hard drive is failing but that's not my question. My question is, where can I buy a ZIF enclosure or adapter that's going to work with both of these drives?

Anyone have any idea if this one is going to work?

OK, just to confirm what I've found out so far. The Dell D420 apparently uses the ZIF-40 connector as opposed to ZIF-24 or 50 pin. I concluded this based on the fact that the drive currently in this laptop is a Toshiba MK3008GAL (HDD1642). You can see some specs for that drive, as well as for the replacement drive I've ordered, here:

I guess I've concluded, based on this information, that the enclosure I'm looking at on Amazon.com should work for these two hard drives.
