Can you run BSOD troubleshooter? Click on Start and type Troubleshoot and hit enter. Scroll down till you see Blue Screen and run it.
Its worth checking if you have a BIOS update or microcode update?

See post #109. Here you have an archive containing all microcodes from AMD and Intel. You simply decompress it then run Install.bat file as admin.

Decrease that to 1024 MB by setting the same value for min and max.
Additionally disable hibernate too, open cmd in elevated mode and type:
    powercfg -h off

Did Windows boot correctly? If so, Use BSOD view from nirsoft to identify the issue, most likely its your RAM or some other hardware component.

Yes, os boot normally but I can not catch that crash because it not recorded as when the BSOD disappears. And also I believe the problem is not ram because in the past I tested these with 20 passes in memtest

The windows defender will disable itself when Kaspersky in active. Furthermore, I can turn off both if you want it.

    Hi All!

I have a P56G001 (2015 model) and I had been pretty much satisfied with it until recently.

Last week while crawling my way to #3 in PUBG, one the cooling fan broke down. I heard a sudden loud noise and all the blades of the fan situated above the GPU were gone!

Well, now the real issue comes up as the laptop features an integrated cooling solution. I am not able to find the replacement heatsink assembly for P56G001. Even though I can find the replacement heatsink for R2(P56G002) model.

I would be really grateful if anyone can confirm whether both feature the same assembly or not?

    Hello All,

First post here, just some armyguy. I have a 17R3 and a 13R2, I am going to have to start using the 13R2 a lot more now, I want to do some upgrades. I have been trying to figure this out for days now with no luck so I am posting here in the hopes you guys can help me figure this out.

I want to get the best SSD I can (fastest), I pretty much only do gaming.

    - I understand that I have to buy an adapter, and m2 screws, and then I can use 2 m.2 drives.
    - However, is an m.2 driver (Say the Samsung EVO 850), connected with an adapter, going to give me the Pcie 32GB/sec speed or is it capped at the 6GB/s for the SATA III??
    - For m.2 drives that are not MNVe, are they still faster than a 2.5" regular SSD??
    - Will any of this matter for what I do primarily? Gaming??

    Thanks in advance!

You need m2 screws. Just get a m.2 SSD either SATA (850 EVO m.2) or PCIe NVMe (950 pro) since in 13 r2 both are compatible.
As for read/write speed it will depend on your SSD specs, with SATA max R/W: 540MB/520MB and PCI-e R/W: Upto 3.5GB reads and 2GB writes. Yes m.2 SATA has near specs R/W speeds.
For gaming, you won't notice a difference w/ SATA or NVMe.

I noticed today in SupportAssist that the 13 R2 is supposed to support up to 32 GB of RAM. Maybe it always said that. Anyway, the big manufacturers' compatibility selectors do not list any 16GB SO-DIMMs for the 13 R2. But there is RAM that should fit in theory, spec-wise. I am a bit out of the loop regarding hardware purchases, though, and thus hesitant to just buy something like that. There may be pitfalls I am not aware of. Does anyone have 32GB in their machine and could recommend memory known to work?

Hi guys, i have an offer from a friend of mine. He wanna sell me him Aw 13 R2, gtx 965m QHD+ (3200x1800). I wanna know if the screen is not too small for that resolution. Maybe the games will lose lot of FPS? Can i set a minor resolution (FHD) and have the same quality as native FHD display?

Any long time owners of the 13 R3/R2 OLED? How's it been treating you guys so far? Any form of image burn-in that anyone experienced? I just purchased one for myself and I'm extremely excited to be getting it. :D

Hey guys, my Alienware 13 R1 won't start when I let it charge overnight. I have to disconnect the power cable before turn it off or I have to reconnect the battery cable to start it. Any suggestion?

If the PC starts with battery then it might be that AC adapter has failed.

I don't think so because If I disconnect the battery and plug the power cable, it can be turned on.

Greetings guys. I'll buy an used Aw13 R2 from friend of mine. It has the QHD model (3200 resolution). Can i buy a lower panel resolution and install it? I saw laptopscreen can sell FullHd and HD+ panel, but i don't know if they are fully compatible.

If you ask...i wanna swith to lower native res cause i presume QHD si too big for a 13".

If you have Win 10 Creators Update, scaling has much improved. Not worth the trouble for new panel IMHO. Just change the resolution to 1080p or scale by 150%

    Hi guys. what's a r2 13 965m normal gaming temperature? (I7-6500u).

It went just under 87 degrees c when I briefly ran furmark. Looked up the service manuel - really not keen to repaste it if I can help it (repaste 17 R1 and R2 recently). So complicated to open it seems.

    Thanks,

Thanks - looked on the base after the initial post and saw some dust through the fan - have repasted with AS5 (run out of Gelid paste unfortunately). Temp slightly better than before (AS5 might need some curing time I think). Just noticed the fan rattles slightly when it's not flat. Guess will have to live with it.

Is the only glass screen on the AW 13 R1/R2 the QHD OLED? Or is there another full hd glass one too?

So while cleaning my laptop, I noticed my battery's packs (there are two of them) looked a bit bulgier than usual and were uneven in size (but not by much). It is 100% charged, but I've never seen it like that or on my 13 R1. Could something be wrong with it?

Is it manufactured by Simplo? If so, it can form a bulge if used extensively.
If you use it on battery mode, it might cause the palm rest portion to be very warm than usual then don't wait until battery is dead, simply replace it. I prefer Panasonic,Sanyo or Samsung cells. My 15 r2 replacement battery has Sanyo which is much better than Simplo.
I do have a Lenovo low end lappie with simplo but it didn't have a bulge or any issues I had with AW Echo models.

I'm not entirely sure as the exterior (at least from my picture I took of it) doesn't say, but the bulge is big enough to affect my palm rest (one side has a small hill compared to the other side). That said, the palm rest isn't warm, and I don't know how to open the battery packs.

I had a bulge as well and AW rep refused warranty replacement and suddenly after few months it died and I was given a new battery which build-wise was simply better. Take a look at laptopbatteryexpress.com

They don't seem to have it, but luckily there are some on eBay. Also bought a palm rest since I don't know if the bulge will leave permanent damage to the palm rest or not.
Will update once the parts have arrived.

    Update:
Swapped old battery and old palm rest with newer battery and palm rest I got. And yeah, things are better. The old battery's bulges are getting a bit worse. The new battery hs some wear, but my old battery wore itself down more last night (2.5% vs 5%), so I guess there's some improvement.
