And the better heatsink is not with the the i9. but the RTX 2080.
Just like how they gave you the 330 Watt instead of the 240 Watt PSU when you choose RTX 2080, as far as I understand. But we'll have to see from people who get their machine. I will post mine when I get it.

Build is amazing, loving the off white colour.
Came with a US keyboard which I think is an error so will contact dell.

Has an LG 144hz panel and Samsung pm981 ssd

 

moonwhite is only available with US layout

 

Can't wait for some first hand impressions from a person that speaks english! Please tell me something about fan noise under load when you get the time.

 

German users got also Qwerty US I believe, idk if he ordered it with purpose but seemly he never touch laptops keyboard anyway.

Downloading now. I have the 9700k/2070
Just ran 3dmark11 on totally stock settings and it was eerily quiet. Scored 2500 gpu and 12000/12000 cpu
I will start getting photos uploaded soon.

My 9700k with 2070 has the side vents, I can see the heat sink through them and feel heat coming through them in load

 

Running with 1 240w psu

When you have just 1 240w psu connected it will give you a message that the laptop may not work at optimal performance.

With the stock bios I am getting full 4.5ghz on the cpu in xtu benchmark.

The gpu is being slightly gimped though, in 3dmark11 I get a gpu score of 15000 instead of 25000. But cpu scores remain the same

 

The other power adapter you don’t have yet?

 

No, I have both. Lots of people were asking if it would work ok on just one adapter whilst mobile

 

Within your stock of systems, do you have a single Dell 330w you can test? I suspect it would be enough to run i7 + RTX 2070 at full power

 

I usually do but typically not at the moment
Desperately trying to source one ASAP.

And I agree, I think the 330w would easily power it.
Also going to muck around with cpu undervolting to see if that allows me more wattage to the gpu

 

If you have a ups or Kill-a-watt post also max power from the wall if you run benchmarks with max load on the whole system. Follow also up if the battery start drain power in Hwinfo.

 

Ok to answer another question asked earlier.

The vindicator 2 17” laptop bag fits it perfectly. Once I get home and settle kids tonight I will photo it.

Here are the BIOS pics and device manager. BIOS is very sparse

 

XTU benchmark, Timespy and Firestrike. Again this is completely stock.

 

Damn that's pretty locked down. I hope there is an option to work with XMP profiles. It looks like an Aurora bios ported to a laptop.

 

Lets hope for BIOS update very soon because it looks bit crap.

Mine is just generic dell ram as I am reseller. I can let you know the chip manufacturer when I dig it out later.

Oh and at least with amazon you can return it if it doesn’t work

 

Vengeance 2666 2x16 was the most cost effective for me, and allows me to buy another pair for 64gb if for some reason I need that much!

 

So happy i took dark side of the moon, but its just taste i guess

As well run Hwinfo and show info tab from cpu settings


Edit. Do benchmarks on old bios. Then run same tests after bios upgrade.

How does this firestrike and timespy score compare to the 8750h with 2080? I'm seeing that configuration score higher in firestrike and timespy graphics ~OC upto 28000 and timespy CPU on par score with this 9700k. Or are the 2 CPU scores not comparative?

 

There is an update for the bios under support for 51m ... The new version is 1.2.0

 

@ninja2000 has the RTX 2070. So Graphics score is not comparable. But I think that physics score should be higher. Probably needs some tweaks and work.

It is per key lighting. Not had a chance to play with it yet as I have been so busy benching.

The performance tab is a joke! Inside is one option. Fan speed, auto or performance

Terreos - Remember mine is a 2070. I will be testing undervolting and over clocking later as the gpu temps are amazing and fan is hardly revving up yet

Oh I understand. Just giving you some numbers to beat since the hardware in that should beat those numbers without much trouble. So long as Alienware didn't lock it down too much.
