I had to disable and reboot. To try this correctly. TS is working fine for me. Default voltage seems to be about 1.260 and with TS about 1.120, so my -140 seem to be in action there.

How do we redeem the Rtx Triple Bundle from. Nvidia where we get Anthem, Battlefield, and Metro Exodus for buying an Rtx 2080 laptop??

Edit: okay apparently you go into GeForce experience, so anyone who didn't know! You can get these games for free if I'm not mistaken!

If you bought directly from Dell you won't get any of them. Dell was not part of the promotion. The only game you can get for free is The Division 2 and that is only if you have the Tobii Eyetracking.

Waiting for mine to arrive then I'm contacting Nvidia. Check Xotic & HID they offer it.

    Xotic
    • Buy a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, system or laptop and get Battlefield V, Anthem and Metro Exodus.
    HID
    • Free Game Bundles

Free Game Bundles with the purchase of nVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU
      • [IMG]

Save battery time (run longer on battery), run quiet etc. Have you forgot why some undeclock their processors? To avoid overheating and to lower the fan noise.

Many seems to forget that the processors need spend longer time at full load if downclocked.

Sometimes its good to be able to. For example when running audio workstation software. Audio engines can be finicky and having stability is more important than raw speed...

I did too and will be getting both games and already own them both. Once I have the keys I will post here on a first come, first serve basis. Will be redeeming the key through Tobii for The Division 2. Glad I have not ordered it already!

ETA: i also already own CoD so if we are ableto get it too, somehow, I will post that key as well.

Probably because it uses the Intel Embree Ray-Tracing Engine (The kernels are optimized for the latest Intel®.i.p. processors with support for SSE, AVX, AVX2, and AVX-512 instructions)
The engine is open-source, so we can look for ourselfs how much AMD takes a performance hit. But from the information i have, it would look heavily biased towards intel especially when it uses AVX-512 (in the background). Will do some testing on my 8950HK tonight.

Is it confirmed that we'll get support for 2666Mhz ram in the future? I'm still thinking of buying some more, and I might as well get 2666Mhz if that'll be supported later on.

So my replacement machine arrived today. I just unboxed it and here are the "straight from the box" images: https://imgur.com/a/ZKA0mCo

My first machine arrived with bezel scratches and I called in to file for a return. They insisted I keep my machine and they would send me this a replacement. Once the replacement arrived, I was to send the old one back. Yeah, the replacement looks like it was wiped down with sand paper. Dell's QC is a joke. I think it's time for a return.

Thats really bad, how can they get it so wrong twice .You think they'd have paid particular attention for the 2nd one not having scratches.

I really don't get it either. For this price point, you'd think they would be a bit more white gloved and especially this being my 2nd machine for the same issues. Such terrible QC. I am already on the phone and on twitter about this. Simply unacceptable in my opinion.

Ordered my 970 EVO Plus from amazon instead...will be replacing stock HDD/RAM with 970 EVO Plus & 32GB G.SKILL 2133 ram this weekend and finally a clean install of Windows 10 Edu.

Check out my YT video...BIOS is very limited still. Only CPU options are multipliers. Need to use XTU, TS or AW CC to undervolt. I wouldn’t mind TS but it isn’t working for me for some reason.

So I guess we need to OC GT cores now as well LOL

OOOOO I could use those :D

Oh ya....I should have BO4 as well it said I get it with i9-9900K. I already own it too....

If anyone wants to trade a BO4 key for Anthem or BF5 let me know. I just have no idea have to get my BO4 key doe...

I am getting ready to order mine but I'm debating between going with the 8gb ram and upgrading myself, or just going ahead and getting 16gb or 32gb with the order from Dell. For those of you who ordered with minimal ram and upgraded yourself, can you let me know what specific ram you went with? The reason I ask is because I've been searching for compatible ram, but being the 51m is so new I haven't found any websites that show the ram will work in the laptop. Or will any ddr4 laptop ram work? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Well XTU allows me to undervolt. TS allows me to change everything except the voltage isn’t sticking.

However another member says TS is working for them.

Maybe when I reinstall things will work out. I can care less about XTU if I can get everything working with TS.

Because RAM is expensive and I already had the 32GB (2x16GB) 2133Mhz G.SKILL from a previous build.

If AW allows changing timings etc then I can probbaly try and OC it to 2400 but for now we are locked down.

Yeah, save a few bucks on RAM and run into compatibility issues an waste your time tinkering with RAM settings and eventually getting fed up. Do it right from the beginning and order the RAM you want from DELL or whichever reseller you plan to buy from!

    I tweeted at him: https://twitter.com/HookemAz/status/1103356740215685121

I have received 2 calls and 6 DM's from various AW/Dell folks. They have offered to "let" me return it for a refund or wait a month plus for yet another replacement attempt. I am a really reasonable guy, but this is really pushing me.

Dell cares escalation rep said they can start the refund or they can process another request for a replacement, but I'd be at the back of the line like a normal order. This is tough because I really want this machine (ok, not this one, but a working one).

    so this was pretty funny:

Laura M (3/6/2019, 3:58:04 PM): Thank you for contacting Dell Technical Chat Support. Please allow me 2 to 3 minutes to review your request.

Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:01:40 PM): Thank you for the update of your information sir,
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:01:40 PM): What is the problem with the computer exactly?
Me (3/6/2019, 4:02:41 PM): The Bios show CPU Perfomance mode blacked out and the Alienware Command Center has cpu and gpu overclocking disabled and they cannot be changed.
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:03:09 PM): You are trying to overclock both the cpu and the gpu?
    Me (3/6/2019, 4:03:14 PM): yes
    Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:03:23 PM): Just a minute please
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:05:22 PM): Ok, the computer cannot be overclocked as it has a 9th Generation intel core i7-8700 turbo boost), because of this it will not let you overclock the computer
    Me (3/6/2019, 4:05:35 PM): I have installed the i9 9900k
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:05:56 PM): You changed the processor?
    Me (3/6/2019, 4:05:58 PM): yes
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:06:27 PM): Ok, sir that is something that is not covered under your warranty.
Me (3/6/2019, 4:06:31 PM): yes it is
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:06:43 PM): Where did you buy the processor from?
Me (3/6/2019, 4:06:48 PM): the area 51m was built to be able to upgrade
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:07:02 PM): Sir, where did you buy the processor from?
Me (3/6/2019, 4:07:10 PM): I bought it from newegg but the problem is not the processor it is your bios/software
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:08:32 PM): Sir, I am sorry that is a 3rd party hardware you put on the computer and it is not covered under the warranty of the computer. If you would have bought it with Dell then it would be covered, in this case it is not covered under the warranty
Me (3/6/2019, 4:08:40 PM): yes it is
Me (3/6/2019, 4:08:47 PM): ask frank azor
Me (3/6/2019, 4:09:15 PM): the processor itself isn't covered but it is your software that is the problem
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:09:35 PM): The computer is upgradeable not a problem, but the warranty does not cover 3rd party hardware.
Me (3/6/2019, 4:09:47 PM): the hardware is not the problem
Me (3/6/2019, 4:09:57 PM): your bios and software is
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:10:43 PM): Sir, the warranty on your computer does not cover this issue, because of the processor you changed on the computer to a 3rd party hardware.
Me (3/6/2019, 4:11:32 PM): you are wrong. The area 51m was made to support that processor so your software should support it and it is not doing that
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:12:07 PM): I am sorry sir, but this is not covered under the warranty of your computer, because of the hardware change you made.
Me (3/6/2019, 4:12:26 PM): The hardware change does not void the warranty of the computer
Me (3/6/2019, 4:12:35 PM): that has been verified already
Laura M (3/6/2019, 4:13:25 PM): Sir, because of the change of the hardware it is voiding the warranty, and we cannot do any trouble shooting on the computer unless the original components are put back on the computer.
Me (3/6/2019, 4:14:14 PM): you've been horrible thanks for being useless! ;)

I tried to place an order by applying the 15% “student discount” code which i received from Dell UK. However it shows “this is a valid coupon code, but there are no matching items currently in your cart”
I wonder if area 51m is not included in the discount items o_O

    Guys i need help.

    I just received my 51M
Swapped the cheap HDD for my 2 SSD, plugged in my USB key with windows 10.
I can't get to boot on the USB drive.

Is there something i have to change in the bios?
