Just received the laptop, and they sent me a Euro connector cables and keyboard en USA-English, lol I’m in the U.K. and now have to buy adapters to turn this thing on, thinking to call to complain, anyone passed to something like that?

 

Isn't it natural to get a english keyboard in UK? Or are there a difference between US and UK english keyboards? I'm in scandinavia, so our keyboards are a bit messed up compared to the english parts of the world.

 

U.K. have different layout than USA, that’s what I meant sorry, got used to the U.K. one as I live here, I mean I can survive but it’s not cool.

 

Did you order the Lunar Light? It's only available with a USA keyboard AFAIK.

i found those, what i am looking for is 30 pin to 40 pin. i dont think its gonna work because 40 pin to 30 means you are deducting some pins and signals. but 30 pin to 40 pin meant you are adding pins and signals from no where. that's what i think, i can very much be wrong.

I order the black one, is not a big deal tho, just some keys in different locations, but not a big problems, i think what was more annoying is the cables not being uk connector I gotta use adaptor to use them.

 

I would call Dell and have them make it right, they may also give you a few percent back.

And is it normal, that the RTX 2080 only has a clockspeed of 1200 mhz?

regarding division 2: If you get the tobii eye tracker, you can get it

 

I get around 7500ish stock i7-9700K, RTX 2070... so you can see the difference with the processor & graphics card you chose. ; )

 

It popped up that offer for me once, but I dismissed it and can't find it again lol... oh well. ; )

I still can't decide between BFV and Metro (already have Anthem). Damn does Anthem run hot compared to other games... really pushes the cpu.

PS 2: Try get ride of the 1tb normal HDD, people say they install windows on it if you both have SSD and normal HDD. And install a normal 2.5 inch SSD 1tb.

 

You should get an email from the retailer that sold you the laptop with a code to redeem in the geforce experience app. (In my case Microcenter).

It's part of that bundle, but your retailer needs to email you a key (mine came from Microcenter).

Fantastic price... makes me wish I had waited a bit, but I needed a laptop and it made sense to buy locally (I got an i7 / 2070). Honestly, I had to exchange two previous 2070 laptops that overheated extremely easily... so getting it locally made that a lot easier. (Lol, sooo tired of reinstalling my stuff even with a secondary hybrid drive!).

This is the first that I have heard of the blocking driver causing warnings in the event logger. Did you install the blocking driver following this guide - http://support.killernetworking.com/knowledge-base/how-do-i-remove-the-killer-control-center/? If you did things out of order, that could have resulted in both the service and the blocking driver being installed on your machine, which would explain how it was still able to update through Windows Update, and why you were seeing errors. If you wouldn't mind trying the blocking driver again, by following the steps in that guide, I would like to see the event logger output. So, new 51m owner here. I ordered on 27/02 and got it today so really pleased with that. I'm from holland.

My specs are 9700K/2080 with 8gb ram and 256ssd. I'm going to put my 1tb ssd from my pc into the laptop tomorrow so i can put my games there.

So far so good, i am getting good temps. Played anthem for 1 hour and the cpu did not pass 90degrees, this is on performance mode and no OC. I do however have a dead pixel on the left bottom corner, it does not bother me so i'm just gonna live with it.

It may help to pull the machine apart and pull the cable out for reference. It could be the same cables used in the 17 R5. Just a thought!

Shameless plug but I volunteer at a wounded warrior club for disabled vets. There are quite a few gamers in the group on small government pensions. If anyone else has division keys they absolutely won’t use, there are a few vets I could hand them out to. Better than letting them rot I suppose.

Anyway, back on topic. I should be receiving my third replacement this Friday or next Monday per my Dell Cares rep. First two arrived scratched to hell and I was pretty unhappy so I hope the third times a charm.
