41.94 i think. it was 31.99 + 9.95 shipping
they actually are not shipping it from europe - its coming from hong kong. i just got it from the only website that sells it in the usa...
-
Yah they are everywhere in Hong Kong nowadays. Their price has actually gone up by 30% since I bought mine, my friend also bought it for a similar price when it first came out.
-
So...mine has been shipped. I hope I got one of the new ones, but I dont have my hopes up.
-
Hey Lakjin, have you got the cooler yet?
-
Mine, too, was 31.99 plus 9.95 shipping, for a total of 41.94, from Expansys.com.
I received it the other day...they packed it beautifully...HEAVY foam all around...very impressed...
This is my first cooler. So far, I love it. Very quiet fan, even at the highest setting. Fits my Toshiba 17.1 widescreen with ease, as well, of course, my HP 15.4 and my Toshiba 13.3.
I recommend it highly. -
How about the cooling 'built'? Does it actually cool your system?
-
It seems to do a great job. I need to download a utility, though, to determine temps internally, but the fan seems to come on a lot less with this cooler master.
The cooler master's fans are ultra quiet, too. I am thinking about buying another one! -
Ya I got mine. I have not gotten around to writing a review on it...so lazy
Um the cooling? Well its about the same as the belkin and zalman nc2000 did on my laptop (2-5C drop), but my laptop is pretty unique as in coolers are not very effective...
And i disagree with built...it not quiet at all. Its very noticeably loud, especially on high. You will especially notice how loud it is after you have used a Zalman NC2000, which is barely audible (you would have to listening for the sound of the cooler in order to hear it with the Zalman). -
Maybe I'm just deaf. -

Good review, sir. I may have to pick one of these up for myself. Noise is a concern, but not so much that it would prevent me from buying this product.
-
Just ordered this item through Amazon, but the seller was Expansys. It still cost $29.99, but shipping was only $2.50. It's supposed to ship in about a week.

Your notebook is the best. Very cool.
-
-
Works great. Isn't loud at all to me. I like the 3 speed settings. I can use it on my lap on the couch. -
seems to not be happening anymore
-
Funny how the Infinite is only starting to get popular 1 full year after release. Well I guess its partly due to the availability. But their prices have not dropped at all in Hong Kong.
-
I just bought one. Found one on Ebay and it looks like the perfect cooler for my Alienware m15x.
-Brandon -
Hmm this looks pretty good. Thanks.
But how is it on your lap? Like when your laying on your back on your bed/couch and have it on you, is it alright?
What happens if you bend your knees up a bit too? Does it slide off? Does it still get air to it?
Thanks. -
Just got mine. It rocks.
-
Care to post some temperatures or pics?
-
thanks for the review. im stuck between this and the Zalman NC2000. I puchased two of the Notepal coolers for my cousins last christmas and they were wonderfully built.
-
Yeah I think the Notepal infinite should work well from what I see from the NP2090's pictures. Which other two notepals did you get?
-
I agree that the NP Infinite might work better since the intake vent is a little higher up than the holes on the Zalman. But I like the wider design of the Zalman better, not to mention the extendable legs at the back of the cooler to give it more tilt. -
I'm in the process of benchmarking and taking pictures of my Inifinite.. it got here yesterday. Its gonna take a few days.. I'm trying it on a couple different games/situations.. I'm at the hospital all day (my mom just had a major back surgery) and I'm benchmarking at night so, like I said, its gonna be a couple days.
-
Thank you very much for your time Astrogiblet.
@icecubez...the metal notepals are definitely better build. My old one is still running and I have given it for a friend to use with his G1S.The Infinite is wide enough for sure for 15.4'' wide screen notebooks. my 8510p fits perfectly, even the massive G1S fits fine.
-
*Announcement*
I have decided to update this slightly aged review with updated temperatures from my HP8510p I figured it would be a better reference with a Dual core CPU and modern GPU.
Depending on time, the update will come anywhere between the next 1 to 4 weeks.

you can buy the infinite cooler at directcanada.com, but im not 100% sure if they ship outside of canada. I bought this cooler from them for 36$.
-
im not thrilled with the build quality of this infinite, could have been better. Very loud on high settings, but overall im happy since it cost me less than 40$
-
Just finished a load test with my infinite on the Dell in my sig, a real heat monster. I do have to say that I was quite disappointed, since there was no change in the temps with or without the cooler. This may be due to it recirculating the hot air and the position of the HDD. It probably does help with keeping the rest of the laptop cooler, since I no longer get sweaty palms from a warm palmrest.
I do like the way it angles the laptop and makes typing so much easier. As for build quality, it could use some improvement. There is a little flex in the mesh, especially at the edges, but it's not something that is noticeable or problematic unless I go out of my way to look for it by pressing down on the mesh. The more concerning thing is that the cable management hooks seem really flimsy, and I worry about their long-term survival. -
My plastic hooks are still working fine.!
-
I'll have to do more testing with the positioning to see if it lowers the temps. -
I am very disappointed in mine. The 4 port USB hub does not work with my thumbdrives and the build quality leaves much to be desired.
Worst of all is that it raises my notebook temps! Could be down to the weird design of the Macbook Pro's underbody but it raised the temps by 1-2 degrees while causing the fans to spin 400rpm faster. The intake vent at the back doesn't seem to suck in much air so I'm guessing that it is just recirculating all the hot air. -
This has been said time and time again, the cooler must match the notebook, obviously have a cooler with air in take at the back and a notebook with air output at the back isn't going to help at all. So its hardly the cooler's problem except for he USB hub.
-
-
Hey, you have the newer silver version of the cooler with the 4 usb ports? Where were you able to find it? And does the site ship to the US? -
It was a local(Malaysia) online store and no they do not ship internationally.
I'm gonna call them today and ask if they will take it back. -
I am very sure it is not recirculating the air coming out of the macbook pro. I put objects at the back of the mbp to redirect the air elsewhere so they don't come near the intake vents and it is still happening.
I accept that it just does not work with the mbp and it's probably down to the notebook and not the cooler but I don't think that is the issue. -
Well I've been very happy with this cooler until yesterday. The fan is no longer working and I can't figure out how to take this thing apart.. I took the two screws out on the bottom but still couldn't take it apart.. anybody know how??
-
There are around 20 screws (in total). You will have to remove the rubber pads too to find them all. Dont worry the rubber pads can be stuck back on.
-
Ok. So I fixed it!
Heres how.. incase anybody else has this problem... it could be common from the looks of it.
Above is a picture (excuse my camera's close up picture quality), of a few wires with a connector in the middle.
The connector, is a standard two pin fan connector. One set of wires comes from the power button, the other side goes into the fan itself. Well on the power button side, the shielding around the wires stops a -tiny- bit too soon before entering the connector. This was causing the wires to touch and short out.
So, I took a thin strip of tape (the blue in the picture), spread the wires apart and wrapped the tape around one side, then glued the tape down with some extremely quick bonding CA model glue. This solved the issue and I'm back in business!
On a side note, it looks like it would be pretty easy to replace the fan if/when it dies.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 6, 2015 -
I just got this cooler yesterday. Too bad that it's the old one, with only 1 extra USB slot and 1 slot for connect to my notebook.
I bought this cooler since my 5920G is a heat lover! And after asking around, this cooler is the best one with the best bucks.
I haven't do a deep test, but I see some good improvement. The CPU and GPU can be cooled down 5C, but the HDD temp is still the same, or maybe just cooled down 1-2C. -
Hi guys, I have 1 question
will this fit and cool HP dv6000? http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3044&review=HP+dv6000+HP+dv9000
and what are temp diferences between this and zalman nc 1000?
really thanks -
The notepal infinite should do a good job as the CPU fan is on the top left corner of the notebook. Its had to compare the infinite and the NC1000 as they are entirely different coolers.
-
yes CPU fan is on the top left corner so that is good
yeah I know they are different, but right now Im choosing just between these two..
I hoped that infinite will be something like accelero S1 on VGA cards - cheap but really good piece.
I can have infinite for 40$ - 28.6Eur
or zalman for 57$ - 40 Eur
I know zalman can cool down 7-10, infinite 5-7...
Let have question like this: infinite can cool down all part of notebook (CPU,VGA,HDD) even if it warmer outside right?
I mean it can cool down, not like some of cooling pads make difference about 1-2
thanks for answer
another sub-question
it is worth to invest in this cooling pad?
