Hi Johny, I found your review very laudable & I would like your suggestion on my laptop about this cooling pad.

I have Dell SXPS 16, screen size 15.5".

    Here's is the pic.

So CM Notepal Infinite Suitable for me ???

& Also is it too heavy to keep it on lap ? for long hours (3-4) while using net etc (not gaming)

    Thanks in advance :)

waiting for your early reply :)

Personally I'd recommend the Infinite, the fans of the U2 isn't too fantastic from what I have heard.

Whilst the Infinite will work fine, a single large fan cooler such as the Enermax Aeolus CP001 might work better. Mind you, that is only an example, there are many other large single fan coolers. :)

In that case the Infinite will be the better choice.

It's in my profile though. :D HP8510p, a 15.4'' notebook, you will find the specs in my profile. I should probably update the review with my new notebook but I haven't had the time.

The cooler itself isn't really heavy at all (I find).

    6)Logitech Cooling Pad N100
    7)Cooler Master NotePal X1
    8)Cooler Master NotePal AX
    9)Cooler Master NotePal X2
    10)Cooler Master Notepal Infinite

I don't know which one will go with my laptop best so i am relying on you to guide me.

Btw, the air blows out through the side vent, on the extreme top right in the pic, on my laptop.

The HDD reaches the temp on 45 when idle. Ambient room temp is 32-36C.

    Awaiting your prompt reply.

The X2 will be my pick. The Infinite won't be a good fit for your laptop. Do you have the U2 or the U3 available?

Thanks for the quick reply Johnny T.

I will try to find out if U2 or U3 is available. There is very less chance that i will get it though.

Any other suggestion from my list of available cooling pads?

Hello everybody, is anybody using this cooling pad with ASUS N71jq maybe?!
It is a 17.3" laptop, with i7 720QM/HD5730 inside. The temps are 80C for cpu and around 75C for gpu when playing games!

What do you think, how much would this cooling pad lower the temps of my laptop?!

I have the N61JQ and am thinking of buying this cooler.
However, I am worried that the black cover thing on the cooler will cover the middle vent on my laptop.
Here is a picture of the vents for the laptop: http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/ebrithil212/DSC01399.jpg
By looking at the vents, is this the right cooler for me?

Unfortunately no, most of the airflow from the cooler is distributed at the top corners. Won't cover the lower vents too well.

The NotePal U3 might be a good option.

Sup guys. I own an Acer 5536 and it heats like a motherers (up to 94C). I wanna buy a cooling pad but don't know much about airflow and all that stuff. This particular model doesn't have vents from which to gather air (i'm serious), or at least they're not at the bottom. The parts that get heated the most are the processor and the hdd.
So what should I buy? Keep in mind there are NO holes on the bottom of my laptop.

Just curious would you say the Infinite is still one of the best coolers to use on a surface such as a bed, sofa etc?

Just looking for the best cooler for my 15.4 Inch Clevo M860TU/Sager NP8660 and I tend to use it mostly while on a bed.
