The Logitech Unifying Nano Receiver has a maximum USB polling rate of up to 125Hz. This receiver is the one that lets you connect up to 6 devices (various mice & keyboards) using just one receiver that plugs into your USB port.
Logitech Unifying Receiver
The Logitech G700 comes with a small USB receiver that has a maximum USB polling rate of up to 1000Hz. The performance of the Logitech G700 is identical, whether you run it in wired mode or wireless mode. This receiver *looks* similar to the Unifying Nano Receiver, but does not allow you to connect to multiple devices.
Logitech G700 Receiver
From a pure technology standpoint, Logitech could probably create a single USB receiver that combines the best of both worlds. But it makes sense for Logitech to intentionally have two different receivers, because the two different receivers are targeted towards two different market segments.
