    Did anybody tried this Aspire with say Doom 3 or better.

    Even eBay couldn't beat this for the last week, do I buy

    I am not sure about the video card. I do not think this is a dedicated 512 MB video card. Its probably the ATI 1150 or something.

    !somehow I missed the Aspire 5100-5023 thread

    Do anybody know a model of Aspire with a good

    graphic card for around US $1000.00 somewhere

    I wouldnt buy until you know the specifications for the video card. Acer notebooks severly limit the graphics cards to reduce heat. My ATI x1100 shared memory is pitiful. It gets less frames than the x200 that it supposedly replaced.
