    i recently upgraded my processor from a Pentium Dual Core T2390 1.87Ghz 533FSB to a Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.2Ghz 800FSB

when i ran cpu-z to my surprise the FSB says its running 800mhz while my ram says it is running at 667mhz???

    is this normal?

For your first question, yes, I think it's normal. I have also upgraded my processor and it shows 667MHz FSB but memory shows 533MHz.

You should have updated the BIOS before CPU upgrade(that's what most people have advised in this forum), however you could try downloading and extracting the BIOS to your desktop, close all windows and right click, run as admin.
Have a look in this thread:

NOTE: If everything works fine don't flash the BIOS, the version is two years old(dated 12/2008),it's only a suggestion but you decide what to do.

on windows 7 64bit no matter what i do it says open flash.sys

i manage to successfully updated my BIOS using Windows XP Professional SP3 32bit edition

and i observed that after the BIOS update my cpu is now able to downlock itself

unfortunately i have problems, my graphics processor is GM965(X3100) and i am using the modded drivers from (X4500), when i play games the screen and sound will pause then the whole screen turns black then when it resumes i am greeted with a message saying the graphics driver has recovered from a crash
(note: before i upgraded my cpu, the graphics driver is working perfectly fine)

currently i uninstall it and use driversweeper and scan and fix my registry

i am currently using the latest windows 7 (x3100) drivers and when i play games, i got a flickering black/gray screen for a very short period of time, the flickering last 0.4sec and occurs about every minute or two
    [IMG]

i ran prime95 for about 1hour to see if the cpu is defective, so far no error has greeted me

all my temps are in normal range

any ideas to what is causing the black/grey screen flickering?
