Hello, i have a seamingly dead travelmate 250 notebook which powers on but doesn't beep or show anything on screen. I have tested all peripherals and are in good working order so i want to give a shot recovering the bios. I have downloaded the bios image, put into a usb floppy and can't get the right combination to start the update procedure. Has someone done this before to help me out a bit? Do i have to rename the bios image to something specific? Do i need a dos disk and flash utility too or just the bios image?
Thanks in advance.

I also have a travelmate 250, (more exactly a 251) laptop and i've posted a way to revive/recover a dead laptop if the problem is the bios. Remove the laptop battery, remove the cover with the buttons that turn on the computer, have shortcuts, etc, and the keyboard and, remove the bios small battery. After that, connect the power supply and switch on the laptop, if the problem is the bios, this procedure should make it work again. After the laptop fixed and turning on, if the bios has a password and you want to reset it so you can change the boot order, with the cover buttons and the keyboard removed, beneath them there should be 4 small switch's, change the current position of the first and the third switch (if they are up, switch them down or vice-versa) and this should reset the bios.
