    Hi there!

I have a newly installed program that requires OpenGL 2.0 on my Acer 5580 laptop in order to run key features. I've searched all over the internet for a solution to no avail.

Where can I find the driver upgrade?

    Additional Specs:
Intel 945gm graphics card with intel 950 media accelerator
    Windows XP SP3
    DirectX 9c

    Thanks in advance
    -Chris

Thank you for the reply! I wish the news was a little better, though. I've already downloaded the driver you linked, but it didn't help the program. :(

Aside from purchasing a new laptop just to get openGL 2.0 capability, is there another workaround or upgrade possible?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Chris

In my opinion - no. I don't see how unless Intel develop new drivers or you upgrade your videocard...which is not possible. You cannot upgrade your chipset/videocard.

I was afraid of that. :(
$900 for a program upgrade just to spend $1800 for compatable hardware  I really should have read the fine print on the system requirements. I was unaware of the OpenGL requirement.

...cursed soldered graphics chip padlocked to the motherboard.

Thanks again for the reply. -Chris
