Hi...I have an Acer Aspire 3050-1150, and I am using v.1.3302 BIOS. Is there a difference between what's available on the USA Acer site and the Euro Acer site for BIOS on 5315?

I notice that Acer-PanAmerica (USA) has 1.3302 as the latest driver, but Acer Euro has a different version (1.3315). Should I upgrade to the Euro BIOS, or stay with the USA BIOS?

Acer Euro is the most updated site so I'd go for the latest version from the Euro.

Caution: Do NOT flash your BIOS unless you need to. Faulty flash can kill your laptop.

Thanks for the advice. I also am going to upgrade the CPU to a dual-core (making it an Acer 5050) which has the same BIOS version. I suppose this means I NEED to upgrade to the Euro BIOS?

    Thanks again ATG.

I'd give it a shot with the original BIOS first. Then - if it doesn't work - I'd flash.
