In the UK, the Windows 7 versions of the 1410 and 1810 have just been released. These are available in a few places but the prices seem a little high.

The 1410 at PC World is £379 http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2124776195.1256546432@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccckadeijihhhjicflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=984079&category_oid=-36730

    The 1810 is £449 http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2124776195.1256546432@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccckadeijihhhjicflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=186744&category_oid=-36730

The 1410 appears to have only the Celeron 743 which is single-core and the 1810 the SU4100 dual core. Both are not on the cheap-side (the same vendor was selling the 751 for £250 a few weeks ago), but the 1810 seems expensive.

Does anyone have experience of the 743 and how its performance will compare to the SU4100? I would be using it for browsing and video watching. From my reading of the other threads, it seems most will be going dual core at some stage. Is it better to wait a few months longer?

    Any views?

    Regards
    John
