I have the Asus PVR and have a bunch of movies in H.264 format. Can anyone tell me if they play well on the 1410. I will buy the 1810T if I have to but the 1410 fits my pocket better and if it does everything I need it to I can live with the minus 2 hours on the battery.

    Thanks

You should be able to if you get the SU2300 dual core version.

I think he's trying to see if there's much difference between the two (SU2300 vs SU7300) in terms of what he wants to do with it (h.264 playback). I wouldn't think there is, but haven't not tried either, I'm not qualified to give a definitive answer.

So long as the video player uses the hardware acceleration of the 4500 video you should be fine. I have a T6500 in my Asus U81a but only see like 5-8% cpu usage with hardware acceleration enabled..........

The meager 100MHz more and some more cache won't make a big difference so the 1410 is the right one for you.

as stated..since your movies are h.264 encoded...the video card will be able to decode them for you...perfectly smooth.
if you wanted smooth hd youtube playback...i would get the su7300...
i tried the su2300 model at newegg next to a gateway version with the su4100...youtube playback was MUCH smoother on the 4100.
