    1694WLMi w/X700 256mb, what BIOS?

    The ones I find on the Acer website is for the 128mb cards only, so when I flash the bios it works, but it only registers 128mb. :confused:

    Anyone know where I can find a proper bios?

    If the card only has 128MB of memory, then you can't flash it to 256MB. Perhaps that is Hypermemory? (128MB + 128MB). In order to enable HM, just download the latest set of Mobility Catalyst drivers. (5.9 on up; 5.12 is the latest).

    The card has 256mb ddr, but the bios on the Acer site only supports 128mb. Thus, if I flash it, it "removes" 128mb. Other than that, the newer bios seems to work fine. So what I was wondering was if someone knew a link to a site with the newest bios and with 256mb support.

    just curious where did you get a 1694WLMi with 256meg x700? Im buying one for christmas but ive only found it with 128meg X700?
