    Hello, I was thinking to upgrade the wifi card of my 1810t from intel 5100 to N 6205.
    But I have a couple of doubts:
    1) Will N 6205 work fine on 1810t?
    2) I chose 6205 because 6300 needs 3 antennas while 1810t has only 2, is it a right decision or can I go for 6300 as well?
    3) I've read that there are several fake/copies of N6205/6300 genuine cards, so how to distinguish them?

    Intel 6205 will work although if your 5100 is full height you might need an adapter to be able to secure 6205 in place.
    Intel 6300 works with two antennas- exactly the same as 6200 (meaning max throughput is 300mbps not 450mbps)

    Buy from a trusted/reputable reseller and avoid cards for Lenovo or HP- neither will work.

    The difference between 5100 to 6205 probably wont be noticeable though,

    But 6300 has 3 connectors, and I can connect only 2 of them, so it won't affect anything the third (middle one) empty connector?
    Will 6300 with 2 antennas only be significantly better than 5100 and 6205?

    As I said 6300 with two antennas works exactly like 6200 with two antennas.
    Also 5100 is crap (unlike 5300) so I would expect noticeable improvement from either 6200 or 6300.

    Ok, thanks.
    I've found plenty of N6300 sellers. But I've noticed that basically there are two different labels on the card on sale. One type has 4 QRcode only on the right, and another one has also 2 small QRcode on the left of the label. Are they the same? The ones with QRcode also on the left seem to be specific for some laptop model, but is there any real difference? I.e. does this card work on 1810t?

    Don't buy anything that states compatibility with IBM/Lenovo or HP- like the card you linked to.

    @baiii

    Intel 5100 is indeed dual band but it's 1T2R card meaning downstream is 300mbps but upstream is only 150mbps.
    It's also one of the most troublesome cards I run into (right after Intel 2200 and Atheros AR9284)

    And this one? It's stated original genuine although from hong kong and it's not brand specific, what do you think?
