Hi, i m having problem getting the hdmi to work perfectly for my full hd 1920x1080 hp 2509p 25" monitor. when first time plugged in the monitor using hdmi cable, win7 automatically detected it's a hp 2509 monitor, installed necessary drivers and autoset the resolution to 1920x1080. everything seemed perfect until i maximized the window/browser to full screen and i found out the display overflows "outside" of the screen, perhaps a photo may explain better...

blurry image  , but u can see fr above that the left pane is half visible and the 3 buttons (minimize, maximize and X close) at the top right are not visible at all, all overflow outside of the screen... :(

and here is the display setting...

but the vga out works flawlessly with the monitor...

    any help plsss?

What is the GPU specification? If it is ATI, you can try enabling GPU scaling in Catalyst Control Center.

If you can find them, you'll need to adjust the Overscan settings. This is what I do with ATI Catalyst Control Center, as above. You look like you are using windows to adjust your output settings; try using the software meant for your graphics card (Intel Media Accelerator for integrated graphics, Catalyst for ATI/HD Radeon, etc.).

happens to me too, acer 1810tz running linux and with a Samsung 32" fullhd tv. The image is bigger than the screen, happens with the Xbox360 too.

The solution was to set some config on the TV.

Hi, usually it is called 'just scan' on a Sammy, not sure what they call it on HP, however the HP in question is a monitor not a TV so auto image should work.....
