Careful with the upgrade - the Aspire 5532 was only sold with three different CPUs: the TK-42 1.6 GHz dual-core, the TF-20 1.6 GHz single-core, and L310 1.2 GHz single-core. All of them are low-voltage parts, so your cooling system might get overpowered if you install a regular-voltage CPU, if it even has BIOS compatibility.

Thanks for info though your words are true I heard lots and lots of success stories in this forum who upgraded their cpu [no offense] so I do not think overheating will matter much.

Quite all right - just haven't had any experience with your model, nor going from a low-voltage CPU to a regular one.

In that case, it's a tough question. Both use Socket S1, and thus theoretically would fit. The TL-60 is faster by 100 MHz, but the TK-57 uses a newer core design. I would honestly go with the TK-57 just because you're only losing $10 on it in case the thing doesn't work, but again, I'd advise you from making the upgrade.

I upgraded my older son's 553x from a tf-20 to a tl-58 and it's run fine. I did put top of the line thermal paste (arctic silver) on it, and it's had no problems with overheating in the 6 months since I did it. Not sure if that means yours will work, but run something to burn it in and watch the temps in CPUz and see how it works.
