    I've got a 2001 wlci laptop with built in wireless b, i was wondering if its possible to upgrade the original card in the laptop for one thats wireless b and g.If this is poss would i have to go back to Acer to sort this.....

    Yes, you can upgrade. The card is easy to do - I suggest looking in your service manual to see where the card is located.

    What card do you have in there now - Intel 2100?

    its a 2100 atm looking to upgrade to 2200......i think

    I would suggest the 2915. The 2200 is known to have issues with connections/speed.

    I've upgrade my 2100 to the 2200 with no problems.
