My Son has an Acer Travelmate 7510.

It beeps three times (1 long, 2 short) on start up and nothing shows on the screen. We've plugged a seperate monitor into it and that just shows all white.

Any help/advise would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Yeah, it does sound like a faulty video card....Though...the beeping is confusing, if it's the video card there shouldn't be any beeping as far as I know. Try to pull off the RAM then put it back on. If you have two sticks of RAM installed try to boot the laptop with one stick only. Also, is the HDD ok? Do you have an external enclosure to test it on another computer?
