It is the correct type of memory. Using an off brand like PQI or Gigaram will slightly increase the chance it won't work. The better brands of memory like Kingston, Crucial or Corsair are tested more before being sent out. I have used both types. I haven't had problems with either.

They should work but as zazonz mentioned they are not that well known brands. If you are on a tight budget they are probably your only chices but if you can spend 20 - 30$ more then get the better brands.
Also if you are removing the older RAM, then buying DDR400(PC3200) RAM might be better. -
I could remove the original ram. If I go to DDR400 will it run at the higher speed?
-
It should. The Sempron like any other AMD supports DDR RAM upto 400MHz. Unless Acer's BIOS is crappy, I dont see any other reason why it shouldnt.

I would need to change my BIOS? This is my first Athlon processor. I usually run Intel. Also 200 pin DDR400 (PC3200) doesn't seem to as available as 333?
Thanks -
No. What I meant was manufacturers sometimes tend to goof up with memory and sometimes it might not work. This might not be the case with Acer. Anyways if you get DDR400 it should stilll work since it is backwards compatible. If the system does not work at 400MHz then it will clock itself to 333MHz. DDR is being slowly replaced by DDR2 memory. So they are becoming rarer and expensive as production decreases. Sometimes newegg has some good deals on DDR400 memory. Keep a look out for those and the price difference between DDR333 and DDR400 is negligible.
The major difference between Intel and AMD cpu's is that the memory controller is located on the cpu itself rather than on the northbridge(chipset). So AMD cpu's have a faster direct access to the memory instead of going through the chipset/FSB. If you want to know more then read this if you have the time...

Thanks for all you help! -

They range from $105 to $133. There were 2 other but they were feindishly expensive. -
How did you search DDR400? I want to look at 512M $$$
