I ordered an Acer Aspire 3022wlmi but the site have cancelled my order and changed it to the Aspire 3003wlmi. The 3003 has a crap battery life and they are telling me that it has infra red and bluetooth, is this true? I can't find another site that says the laptop has both bluetooth and infra red. I dunno if I should take the 3003wlmi, it is no where near as good as the 3022wlmi. Can anyone tell me more about the product specification like does it have bluetooth and what size the hard drive is? Some sites say 60gb but the site I placed the order with say 80gb.

I think the 3003wlmi has 80gb standard HD. I doubt that it has either bluetooth or IrDA(Acer's website is terrible for finding inffo on thir laptops & the US version does not seem to have these features). I dont think the 3003wlmi is a respectable substitute for the 3022wlmi. It is cheaper & meant to be a laptop for those on a low budget. Unless if the 3003wlmi is substantially cheaper than the 3022wlmi, then it is not really a good deal & you might want to look at other laptops in the same performance & price range.

I have the 3003wlmi. No bluetooth, yes IR. Very respectable machine for it's price range (paid $750.00). The battery issue is a known (and well documented gripe on this forum) and I overcame it with a quick trip to ebay ($100.00 with shipping and now I have a machine with very solid specs and decent legs for under $900.00).

80 gig hqard drive, AMD Sempron 300+ processor, 512 meg memory (expandable to 1.25 gig I believe), Dual Layer DVD+/-RW (hard to find in this price range), 15.4 inch monitor (Very hard to find in this price range).
    Hope that helps.
