Iv'e got a 32 bit SSD. Wondering what advantages would be to installing 64 bit W7 premium instead of 32 bit. I'm running 32 bit on my acer 1410 witht 2 gigs memory it now and seems to run fine. Though if 64 bit has better vga color pallete drivers that would be important to me. The colors don't look quite right now. Main purpose of laptop is HTPC. I need to reinstal windows because suddenly WMC won't open and that's my preferred playback method. I was also considering waiting until w7 sp2 came out before re-installing. Should be soon right?

There's difference between 32bit Windows and 63 bit Windows as far as you're concerned. You don't have enough RAM for 32 bit Win to limit you. There's no different color palette in Win 64bit and so on.
Also- there's no such thing as 32bit SSD. It's just an SSD in the same way HDD can't be 32bit or 64 bit. -
If you have a beef with the monitor's color output, it is the monitor's fault and not the fault of the PC. You might want to consider calibrating your screen with something like the Spyder color calibration units. Or you might want to invest in a higher quality LCD monitor that uses IPS LCD technology (almost every laptop, and definitely that Acer, uses the cheapest TN LCD technology which has horrible color quality).

I meant to say I'm using 32 gig SSD. Sorry not bit, sorry about that. My display is actually pioneer plasma. But I thought the colors looked better when my friend brought over his aspire one laptop and hooked it up. So I'm better off with 32 bit w7 then?

Not better- there's just no difference as far as you're concerned.

well 32 bit takes up less space on my hardrive and I also don't have to instal 2 different codec packs for 32 bit which is two reasons 32 bit is better for me. As far as I know I don't use any programs optimized for 64 bit. I may do some gaming though. Any big performance difference there?

Most games are still 32 bits anyway so no- not much (if anything) to gain there.
32 or 64 bit on my acer 1410?
