Ok, I'd really like to purchase a 3201xci. It seems like the perfect notebook for me. I understand that it does not come with a dvd dual format burner, but with a DVD/CD-RW drive. That's fine. I don't intend to use a notebook for burning DVDs. But I do need to know what formats the drive will READ. Will it read professional DVD-ROM only, or will it also read DVD+R and DVD-R? Will it read just DVD-R and not DVD+R? I can't find this info anywhere. I'd really like to get some feedback from owners. Thanks a bunch.

Seams strange that it shouldn´t read DVD+R. Don´t have any +R-Discs at home to test with.

Thanks for the Nero InfoTool pic.
I agree. I think it's strange that a drive could read DVD-R & DVD RAM and not DVD+R. Usually DVD RAM is the last supported format, especially if the drive has no way to write to it. I'd still like to get a real test done to confirm the results. If no one else has the time or discs to do this, I'd be willing to send you a couple of discs to use.

Sounds great. Have you tested any DVD-R movies?
