I am interested in upgrading my laptops cpu harddrive and ram, I just want to know some information befor I go out throwing money around.

first what is the fastest cpu I can put in it?
also what type of interface does this laptop have for the harddrive, and lastly what is the largest amount of ram this thing can handle.

Download CPU-Z, and post screenshots of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd page.

I don't have the laptop on hand at this moment but I can give you all the specs I know of it right now.

    I know it had a celeron M 370 1.5ghz cpu 256megs of ddr2 ram and a 60Gb harddrive
it is using the 910GML Express Chipset the cpu has 1Mb cache.
if you need more information let me know, but if the screen shots are needed I'll have to wait a little till my wife gets back with the laptop.

The best I would advise is to install a Pentium M 735 or 755 and then do a pin-mod to raise the FSB and voltage. It gives great results.
I guess the 910GML can max support the Pentium M's.

thanks I'll probably just go with a 735 as they seem to be a good price and easy enough to come across, also if I skipped the pin mod would it still be worth it?

Yeah, pretty much. But the increased FSB does help, since it boosts the frequency of the CPU, GPU and the RAM. And it is pretty easy to do as well. You'll come across loads of guides, if you google - Pin Mod Dothan

Andy, the 910GML can't handle the Core Solo, as the two have different sockets - the chipset uses Socket 479, and the Core Solo uses Socket M.
Stick with the P-M 735, try the pinmod, and best of luck!
According to Intel.com, the 910GML is capable of using up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM. Get two 1 GB sticks of PC2-4300/DDR2-533, and you should be laughing.

Sorry for bumping such old thread, but I have both the TravelMate 2420 with the Pentium-M 735 and an Aspire 3620 with an Celeron M 1.5Ghz
I changed the C-M to an 735, while it boots and works, it only runs at 400Mhz FSP...so 1.3Ghz

It's the same bios for both laptop, the motherboard looks identical too.
Anyone know how I can force it to run at 533? The ram is fine
