Tried a search but could not find anything.

In the UK no 3810T comes with the 3g module, at least not the 3810TG I want to buy. Is it possible to buy the 3g module and retrofit it? If so, how do I find it and how easy is it to fit?

    TIA

I did that. I just bought a 3G/GPS module and retrofit it. Very easy to do. Took only 5 minutes. Make sure you get the antennas too. You need to remove the keyboard to gain access to the minipci slot. You can PM me if you need more help.

You also might have to check if the sim card slot is occupied. Remove the battery and you will see a small black sticker, covering the sim slot. Remove it and try a sim.

The modem i bought was a Sierra MC8781... it comes with GPS and both work well...
