    Hi.
    Guys, I'm really need help.
I updated bios on my acer 3820TG to 1.19
    and after that:
    1) all values like "model" in bios turned to xxxx
and UUID for example to ffff-fffff-ffffff and lot of F.
    2) "no batter" message appeared..
and battery stopped charging at all :(

Was it a stock BIOS or a modified one?

Did you try resetting it to default settings afterwards (not that I think it will help but it's worth trying anyway).

Last but not least - you may try to flash back the older version once again. While serial number of the motherboard might not reappear (this happens sometimes) I don't think you care about that part too much - it's important that the battery would charge.

A potential issue is that some BIOS flashers refuse to proceed if battery is not in, so if your battery is not detected you might not be able to flash new BIOS (at least not from Windows anyway)

You can try BIOS 1.17 .

Just make sure you try resetting BIOS to default settings before doing anything else.

I can't guarantee that another attempt of flashing BIOS will be any more successful than the previous one though...

So it flashed correctly and shows BIOS version as 1.17 but still doesn't detect the battery, am I correct?

So does it work now? Is it related to the BIOS update or is the battery charging issue a separate one?

it 's clearly that it's not bios issue.
It seems to me it's hardware problem (controller on motherboard).
Anyways I need to buy a new motherboard for this "test".
