Tried to buy from ncix but "out of stock", then tried memory express which claims it's in stock but is magically out of stock when you get to the order page.

Anyone know of another site with price matching like NCIX?!

I finally get a chance to buy the thing and it's out of stock. Just my fU(|<1|\|g luck

I know it says in stock but click on add to cart and go to order it. I got this:

    (sorry for large pic)...(Thanks mod)

    Wanna know the weird thing?

I was looking at the thing a few days ago on another PC and added it to a cart then. I went back to that pc and checked the cart, the list price was $772.99 (abouts) and I had price matched it then and got it down to the memory express price of $649.99...

I then processed the order on that pc and never got the "out of stock" warning. So I jumped and ordered it :)

CAN'T WAIT. Hope it works and I get one of the last in stock. If they have any left

EDIT: loves ya jerg and can't wait to bug ya for advice (this is my first notebook/laptop ever.... and I'm almost 30)

Eh even if it is indeed out of stock, NCIX tends to order very fast from the supplier (my 5553G which was a special order item took 1 day to get ordered and received from supplier). Although I read on the NCIX forums that this week they're having extended vacation or something and don't start working until wednesday...

Hopefully not, I'm eagerly waiting for my RMA to go through so I can buy a damn 5820TG. Anyhow, good luck with the 3820TG. Are you planning to mod it other than getting a 9pack battery?

    What RMA jerg?

And no, no mods at first. Not even a fresh install. Just gonna back it up then overclock the gpu a little. Just until the novelty wares off. Might up the RAM to 8 to run some virtual machines and change the thermal paste but those aren't mods. After 6 months or a year I might try backlit kb and a cpu swap. And the guy who posted a few days ago about modding the mb to add an express slot or something... that could be fun.

Return Merchandise Authorization...of the laptop I had earlier December (the one in my signature). They'll refund me in full (in "store credits" though) and I'll likely buy a 5820TG from NCIX.

I see, I see. Holiday order processing and shipping tend to be sluggish, but perhaps NCIX will deliver and you'll receive it fast.
