I'm looking for a good replacement battery for my 3820TG but almost all that are available online are 4400mah or 5200mah.

Does anyone have a link to a 6 cell 6000mah battery from a reputable seller?

Thanks for the link but $120 plus shipping for a 6 cell battery seems a bit overpriced if you ask me.

I found some 5200mah ones on eBay for $57 shipped. If I could just fine a 6000mah one for less that $80 I'll be set.

You do realize that a 9 cell with 6000mAh has 50% more capacity than a 6 cell with 6000mAh right?

You realize that the term "cell" simply means individual battery unit? A notebook battery is made up of several batteries dubbed cells. The more cells it has the bigger the physical dimensions of the notebook battery.

having more cells does always mean more capacity; Chinese manufacturers simply wire several low capacity cells together and give you the impression that it is a high capacity '9 cell' battery.

You are confusing cell size with battery voltage. A 6000mah battery rated at 11.1v will have almost the double capacity of a 6000mah battery rated at 5.8v

For a 3820TG a 9 cell battery should have about 9000mah at 11.1v (or about 1ah per cell). A 6000mah 9 cell battery is simply a waste of space.

My 6 cell is 6000mah 11.1v rated. Its SKU is BT.00607.128 - it is one of the 2 replacement batteries listed by acer for the 3820tg (although I bought it from a reseller because I had a 9-cell).

I suggest you do a search for that SKU using a local shopping search engine.

If you're in the US, try this.

Thanks for the link, but if you look closely you will see that based on the dimensions and weight, the battery is a 9 cell :(

I can get a 6000mah 6 cell for $70 shipped from china or a 5200mah 6 cell for $50 shipped from the states.

The 9 cell ones rated at 9000mah are about $100 on ebay.

*Edit* I was checking some batteries on eBay and they seem to have conflicting weight and dimension measurements so I'm not entirely sure anymore.

*2nd Edit* I measured my current 6000mah battery and it seems to have the same measurements as the one in the link. I think I will take a chance and buy that one.
