Just got a 4021 i ordered for a friend it has the intel pro wireless. But im having a strange issue The wireless seems kinda slow loading web pages and stuff i have a linksys router that works great with every other laptop and i tried this laptop with another router as well. But sometimes it connects as 24mbps sometimes 48 sometimes 54 all the same router same spot near it just by rebooting it always changes just seems real sluggish even when on 54mbps. Any clues people? Otherwise its the best notebook for the money period.

Do you have the latest intel drivers?
Does your router have the latest firmware?

There are quite a few known issues with intel wifi cards and certain routers. Check the wireless and networking section for some more info. But be sure to update drivers and firmware first cause that might solve your problem.

There's a lot about this in the Wireless and Networking forum. I was helping out one member who had the issue with his Intel Pro 2100 card. He also had a linksys router. Well, long story short, the Intel card was the issue, so he bought a Linksys PCMCIA card, and it works fine now.

Have you tried the card on a different router?

I havent updated the drivers thats the first thing i will try when i have a minute. The router has the latest firmware ive actually never had trouble with any pro wireless cards but have heard they have some issues and the atheros cards are better. thanks for the responces.
