Now that i have finally decided for 4402, NEWEGG says out of stock, NEXTAG says TIGERDIRECT sell refurbished (though tigerdirect has not stated new or refurbished !) and i dont know if other stores can be trusted or not. But, 4404 is available in most stores.

The only problem with 4404 is hard disk speed, 4200 rpm, while it is 5400 on 4402. But, 4404 is 1.8 GHz, 4402 is 1.6. 512 MB more RAM on 4404 can be added to 4402 just at 45$. Also, 4402 on ABE'S is almost at same price as 4404 on NEWEGG.

So, i don't know, that i should search more and wait for 4402, or 4404 can be used with same performance. I mostly want to use laptop for programming and running softwares, such as MATLAB, ACAD and ANSYS, but, now that it has 64 MB dedicated ram, i will also do some gaming, but no intensive image and video editing. Please help me to make the best decision. Also if you have informations about US stores, please let me know. Thanks.

Why don't you go for AS5672?. Or the TM4204 (if you don't need IEE 1394/S-video). They can be found pretty cheap right now (about 1150$ USD). If you can live with the short battery life (2.5 hours) those laptops have a faster cpu than 4400. 5672 have dedicated graph.

And while Windows Vista 64 bit OS is for 2007 anyway, maybe later, Dual core will give you TODAY performance.

Otherwise i'll advise you to wait for the Turion X2.
